Your deposit goes to one exchange, which converts it to Zcash and pays a second exchange. The second exchange converts the Zcash and pays the recipient. The first exchange sees your wallet, the second sees the recipient, and neither sees both. On Solana there is no transfer between your wallet and the recipient.

Your deposit goes into an on-chain escrow that commits to a hash of the exchange's deposit address. When the service reveals the address, the program keeps Veil's fee and pays the exchange in the same instruction. You never see the address before paying, so the fee cannot be skipped.

Into a vault the program controls. The program has no withdraw instruction. The only way value leaves the vault is a swap into $VEIL through Jupiter, within price and size limits enforced on-chain, followed by a burn in the same transaction.

If the service never forwards your deposit, it stays in escrow and you can take it back in full from the wallet you paid with, after a short delay. No fee is charged. If an exchange fails after the forward, the refund comes from that exchange.

A standard route is one exchange and usually lands in 5 to 15 minutes. A private route adds the Zcash hop and a second exchange, typically 20 to 40 minutes. Estimates use floating rates, so the final amount can differ.

Orders are stored for 48 hours after they finish, then deleted. The service never returns exchange names or deposit addresses to the browser. The exchanges screen deposits and can hold a swap for verification.
